SLUSD School Board Approves Renaming Woodrow Wilson Elementary

At the last San Leandro Unified School District board meeting, trustees approved the removal of President Woodrow Wilson’s name from Wilson Elementary School after a presentation regarding the year-long community engagement process. Trustees voted 4 to 1 in favor of the removal, with two abstentions. Additionally, the student board representative to the school board also voted in favor of renaming the school.
