Peter graduated from San Francisco State University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Consumer Family Studies with a minor in Nutrition. He knows the education provided by our local schools is the foundation for good quality of life for all residents. Peter also believes that a strong educational foundation can be the nexus for stronger neighborhoods, economic development, and
greater prosperity for our region.
As the Director of Child Nutrition at San Lorenzo Unified School District, Peter is responsible for feeding over 8,000 students a day. His passion for education is reflected in his career. Peter has worked at San Francisco State University, UC Berkeley Labs, taught at the California Culinary Academy, and as an online Instructor for Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Peter is also a Consultant for the California Department of Education. He develops recipes that are used across the United States that provide healthy meals to fuel students’ minds to be ready for school each day.
Peter is a seasoned community volunteer with a commitment to service.
