At Monroe, we are now in our second theme of the year…Heroes. What makes a person a hero? Can a kid be a hero? How? We start with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr’s Birthday month of January, and go through March, Cesar Chavez’ Birthday month. These are two well-known heroes, there are so many heroes to learn about and celebrate. Let’s use this theme to hear from our students about who their heroes are…and introduce them to diverse heroes they may not know about.   |
