Thank You (Rainy Day Morning Drop Off Procedures)
Greetings James Monroe Community,

This is principal McNeil.

Thank you so much for your flexibility this morning, especially to our new families! On rainy days we all stay in the cafeteria to keep dry and warm. On rainy days we ask that you drop your students off at the double doors by the loop. We only allow students into the cafe on rainy days, because we simply can not fit all the students, supervising staff, AND parent/guardians in the cafe. After our TK/K students eat, or as it gets crowded, we bring them into the hallway to sit, with supervision. The cafeteria with all the students can be overwhelming for our youngest kids! Students in 1st--5th grade sit at their lunch tables with their classmates. At 8:10, the start of school, teachers come to the cafeteria to pick their students up!

Thank you for your patience, understanding, and flexibility this morning! You are all rock stars and I appreciate you all so much! Your partnership is priceless. THANK YOU!

Love,
principal McNeil
