October 1, 2024

Dear San Leandro Unified Staff and Families,
|
As October begins, we’re reminded of the natural rhythm of change and growth. Like the changing seasons, our district is also transforming, with each new shift bringing new opportunities.
In this spirit of change and growth, I'm excited to invite you to the grand opening of the new San Leandro High School Gymnasium on October 23 at 5:30 PM, just before the SLHS Varsity Volleyball Senior Night game. This state-of-the-art facility is a testament to our collective commitment to providing our students with the spaces they need to thrive—physically, academically, and socially. It symbolizes our community's collaboration, and we’re proud to share this milestone with you. Come see how this space will benefit our students for generations.
Warmly,
Dr. Michael McLaughlin
Superintendent, San Leandro Unified School District

Finally, we will look for tools of resilience to rise above this challenge. Come ready to hear what other parents are trying and to offer your experience. The session is open to all San Leandro parents/caregivers with TK-12th grade students. Raffle Prizes! Spanish and Chinese translations will be provided.
