SLUSD Family Learning Series is back TONIGHT at 5pm!

Tonight’s topic: RELATIONSHIPS IN THE YEAR OF COVID-19 The holiday season intensifies the tension between quarantine and maintaining family and social relationships. In this session, we will look at this tension with a socio-emotional lens. We will also brainstorm ways to hold connections with others while sheltering in place. From this place. we can then stretch our imagination of what’s possible with our students. Please bring journals or paper and a pen as we plan action steps for social connection. Spanish and Chinese translation provided.

Reopening Update

At last night’s school board meeting, Dr. McLaughlin gave an update on reopening, including a tentative timeline to offer targeted, in-person support for small cohorts after the end of the student school day in mid-January.

Curriculum Adoption Review

Dear SLUSD Community,

We are excited to announce that we have launched an adoption of new TK-12 Social Studies-History, TK-12 Science, 6-12 World Language curriculum!

We need your help to review our pilot materials and give us feedback HERE. Your input will help our adoption committee of teachers and administrators make recommendations to the school board on October 21. Please complete your feedback by October 15.
