Parent Center
At John Muir Middle School, the Parent Liaison, or Parent Facilitator, is a key staff member committed to enhancing communication between the school and families. This role is designed to support parents by providing them with essential information and resources that contribute to their child's success both academically and socially. The Parent Liaison works to empower parents, encouraging their active involvement in their child's education, and plays a central role in creating a supportive and collaborative school community. Throughout all interactions, confidentiality is rigorously upheld.

My name is Maria Ochoa, one of your Parent facilitators here at John Muir. As a dedicated Parent Facilitator, I specialize in bridging the gap between families and school to foster a supportive and effective learning environment. I am committed to empowering parents with the tools and knowledge they need to advocate for their children’s education and well-being. My approach is rooted in empathy, communication, and collaboration. I work closely with parents to address their concerns, navigate school systems, and implement strategies that enhance their children’s academic and personal growth. Through workshops, one-on-one meetings, and community engagement, I strive to build strong, informed partnerships between families and educators.
