The DEI Task Force is coordinating the creation of a free SLACEC digital community cookbook entitled “Festive Foods from Around the World.” These recipes are meals that people serve to their family and friends for special occasions. Students and faculty will submit these various meals. You can look forward to Vietnamese, Mexican, Chinese, Filipino, and more recipes. The various recipes will be released on the San Leandro Adult Career & Education Center’s social media pages as individual posts; however, a digital version that houses them all will be available. The San Leandro Adult & Career Education Center at 1448 Williams Street is offering a free computer course for low-income residents of unincorporated Alameda County and San Leandro. Learn how to use a computer, email and the Internet plus online safety, word processing, video calls & more! Classes meet Monday-Thursday 12:30-2:30PM starting March 3.
