The Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP) is a comprehensive planning tool to support student outcomes and is an important component of the Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF). Under the LCFF, all local educational agencies (LEAs) are required to prepare an LCAP, which describes how they intend to meet annual goals for all pupils, with specific activities to address state and local priorities identified pursuant to California Education Code (EC) sections 52060(d), 52066(d), and 47605. Before the adoption of the LCAP, school districts are required to notify members of the public of the opportunity to submit written comments regarding the specific actions and expenditures proposed to be included in the LCAP.
During the regular meeting on June 14th, the SLUSD school board held a public hearing for the Local Control and Accountability Plan. The drafted LCAP and the GoogleForm for feedback were also made available in three different languages from June 14th through June 20th. There were no public comments. On June 21, the district Governing Board unanimously voted the approval and adoption of the approved and adoption of the 2022.2023 SLUSD Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
